Hey, all.  I was moved to post this by an anonymous, and fair, comment/request I got from a reader.  It was part of a longer letter that was very positive (which I appreciate — thanks for the feedback!) — so, I don’t mean to take it out of context, but the relevant part for those of us who can get carried away with thinking Thanksgiving is about giving thanks for our awesomeness, and luck at being more fortunate than others, is well taken, indeed.  I’m not saying it best.  It goes, in short, something like this …

” . . . before you go plastering all over Facebook all the great food you’re making and eating this Thanksgiving, think twice before you begin bragging, unless you can follow it up with … ‘in a soup kitchen.'”
